Affordable Counseling is a small community based behavioral and mental health service provider, established in 2004 that operates on North Central Sacramento Valley Counties Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, Yuba, San Joaquin, El Dorado.
We were founded by Roman Montague, who started practicing therapy in 1984, background undergraduate in psychology and sociology, and masters in social work and marriage and family therapy and counseling.
We aim to help you achieve peace in your life, learning how to deal with stress, adjusting expectations, assertive communication, and so much more.
In our therapies, we work with those who need grief, trauma, family, marriage, sexual abuse, anger management, reunification, or drug, and alcohol abuse counseling.
Our parenting classes cover the developmental stages of child development, the effects of anger or abuse in the home, and techniques for parents to learn to better raise their children.
The co-parenting courses will help you and the other parent better communicate and understand what is best for your child or children. We want children to have the best experience possible with their parents.
We approach our services as people who have also been through difficult times, we don’t know what you are going through life right now, but we’re here to listen, not to criticize, because if the circumstances were different, it could have been us sitting on the other side of the table.
We understand depression, living with a person with mental health issues, losing a loved one, being a single parent, becoming a step-parent, bankrupcy, and foreclosures and repossessions, because we have also lived through it.
And our role is to bring our professional services, our life experience, and our empathy to help you at your moment of need.
